One lonely cent

Not much left to be desired at the picnic grove I hunt. Pretty much been cleaned out. Although the super sniping 5x8 picked this IH cent up with just a squeak of a high tone. Loaded with iron I was only able to get the high tone in an extreme "narrow window" - maybe an 1/8 of an inch. Any other position around the target I received iron grunts. I just happened to be at the exact right angle to pick the coin up. Pleasantly surprised indeed :)

Thanks John. I will take one lonely cent on every hunt (if they come out looking like this one) :)

Hey Chris! How you been? I love using the 5x8 as it really gets into some tight spots and does a phenomenal job at picking through the iron. On another note, I personally do not find it to be a deep-seeking machine but do find it to be pretty darn superior in plucking out the goods in junky spots. Hope all is well with you - Jim

Nice find. It has been a long time since I saw an IH.

Persistence & patience pays. Nice going!
