One Last Question About The DD vs Concentric

Those who have tested the Omega 10 inch on their GB/G2...did you test one of the older bottlecaps to see if it could still be rejected? Is the rejection of bottlecaps base only on the Concentric coil design only or the Circuit or a Combo of Both? I know I said "One" more question but I really meant "At This Time" Ha! .Also IF you Did test the Bottlecap with the 10 inch Concentric I'm just guessing that it had a different VDI than the DD..That is IF the disc was set to accept it. THat's all the Q's for now! well,Maybe!

My Omega with the 10"concentric can easily discriminate the "Pry-Caps", Can't tell you the actual level at the moment but I believe it is somewhere at or just below the "nickle" level. If I put the 11" DD coil on, not a chance, I can max out the discriminate level at "80" and the prycaps scream out like a silver quarter! I've read several posts on this and it appears to be because of the DD's design and the shape of the caps being so similar to coins. If I am hunting a very trashy park areas with tons of the pry-caps, I have to go with the 10" concentric coil. I remember on my first day out with my new (at the time) G2, I dug over 80 bottle/pry caps within the first couple of hrs of hunting. I have never tried the 10" concentric on my G2 but plan on giving it a try this fall

Good info and post here. This guy uses several machines and runs them all well.

Monte easy out works and Dave's sideways thing works too.

Right now I don't have that problem because none of my detectors have DD's on them. It's too late now but they should of made those pry caps out of plastic all these years!Ha!

Easy out? That sounds like a Spot Remover! Just jokin with ya Ken!Ha! I think it's "Quick Out" and "Edge Pass Rejection" I'm sure someone will correct me If I'm wrong! I'm not sure what Dave's Sideways Thing is you are referring to.
