18- degrees this morning, Grandkids are driveing me nuts. THATS IT !! time to go hunting. In the park a lot of the ground was forzen so i stayed in the heavy grass area's i knew the ground would be softer here, after digging about 20 ice plugs i got a nice hit about 8 inches a 1936 merc with a wheat cent stuck to the back of it. also five wheats a kids ring a top of a old makeup case
 
Nice merc Tony. I ended up going to work this morning. I'll have to try to catch up to you next weekend. Weather permitting.

Nice finds ! I would love to believe there are soft diging spots out there for me. But then I woke up !! :laugh:
