One hit and this

I made a quick pass near the street with the Vaquero before dark and got one hit. The signal repeated but was very faint. This brass piece was 10 inches down laying flat so the signal came through. Looks to be a brass door bell button ring likely from the first electric door bell buttons in this neighborhood.

JMC...

I can't tell how big it is but guessing about it's size... figure it to be close to coins like quarter or half.

I bet it sounded sweet being that deep, Tesoros like brass! Nice vintage house bling:thumbup:

The VAQuero likes brass, nice find again

Nice find:thumbup: How old are the houses in the neighborhood?

Nice find incredible depth. My vaq.is half way here.temp in 30s and hi 20s,sleeting and snowing tonight and tom:sadwalk: Low thur 5 degrees low fri 0 degrees.WHEN WILL I GET TO TRY IT OUT???

It is what the door knob shaft goes through.

The ring surrounds the door bell button. The era this is from represented an elegant time. Even simple house bling like this was kept polished and gleaming to add more flare to the property.

Thats a really nice and unusual find certainly beats the normal run of the mill coinage.

It is almost certain a bell push i would think rather than a door knob plate as it has the word 'Push' on it
