Ok folks, here it is. A friggin rediculous hunt. I'm still in shock! I can't go into details just yet because there's still more! Dirt Digler and I hunted until midnight and then turned it in. This is one of those hunts that we'll never forget. All of this came out of a spot about 5x10 and FILLED with iron. The 6" finally got a chance to really shine on this one. This is only my take, Dirt might post some of his at a later time. Even got a key date 1885 V. It was like we opened up a time capsule. The newest coin we dug was a 1919 wheat. I look forward to posting this video once we get done hunting. The coin in the concrete is an 1882 Indian that must have been lying on top of the ground when the concrete got poured. It took me forever to find it because I kept kicking the concrete outta the way :) I'm still looking for info on the skeleton key. It's a R.R. Key and it has the inscription P.F. (I assume means pacific freight) and a weird little T with an underline and then what appears to be a Wa (I assume means Washington) any ideas?

Geez that's a hunt and a half. Congrats

Nice haul. As far as the key goes, get a hold of Sue Knous at railroadmemories.com. Look at all of her past auctions and you may get an idea of age and value. She sells strictly RR memorabilia. I just sent her two baggage tags.

Wow! What a hunt, especially for out there! I look forward to seeing the video! Very nice!

Holy crap thats an awesome hunt, small coin dump. I wonder if someone dropped a coin purse and it all got spread around. WOW! :beers:
Jon

Good Lord Doc! Awesome haul!
Diggler? Diggler where are you, what did you get?
Don't look for the GPS devices on your vehicle.......I wouldn't do that. Wouldn't even think of it. Wait...just did. Just Kidding. :clapping:

That's your find for the year put the 3030 up HAHA
Great save kept it up

yup. Standing watch right now! I don't know how I'll ever top this spot! Only thing that would be better is if I scored a seated or a gold coin!

Damn tones you killed it again, I hope you filmed it!!!

The Shark

Man that's a double kill ,that's what persistent does for you I would bet your going to be spoiled after that . One ? did you run the stock coil in that cash register yet, just wondering what the 6 missed WTG tones . sube

Holy smokes - that's like a whole year's worth of... everything! Now get out there and get the rest so you can post the video!

I actually started out with the large coil and then switched over once I found the concentration of good targets. I think I'm gonna try to sift it!

With that many coins in such a small area, I agree that you should sift it. It shouldn't take long and you will probably find more better coins than if you spent the time detecting another site.
