Chris and I hooked up this morning. He had been out of pocket for a while and is working now to getting his swinging legs back in shape.

Although I've sniffed out 3 or 4 silver coins, a couple of Buffalo nickels and a relic here and there since I hit the class ring, nothing was all that outstanding so I saved on the camera battery. Did dig a hole this morning that I decided to post as I don't get many multi older coin spills.

About thirty minutes into the hunt this morning I hit a spot that gave me a mixed bag of readings and tones with the occasional blip on the screen showing a 83/84 reading, so dug it. I flipped over the clod and saw the glint of silver and noted a penny there as well. Glanced down into the hole and saw the same thing. Turned out to be a 41d and a 44 Mercury dime along with a 27 and 44 wheat. Couldn't find anything else with the pin pointer, so refilled the hole. Made one more swing over the area and got a nickel reading that apparently had also been in the hole. A red 1959 was just laying there on top of the ground. Did also manage to dig a old toy car....or should I say, about 2/3s of one and 3 other wheats of the 40's and 50's vintage, being the most notable of all the other finds. Guess I had the shakes on the 4th picture. HH jim tn

Jim nice going! It's about to get hot and like fool I laid out all week long doing other things rather than taking advantage of this week's cool temperatures and wet soft ground. Seeing silver always gets me motivated. Keep up the good work.

Nice digs bud. I love those little spills, and the older the better.

Sounds like you had a great day, Jim! Those Mercs sure keep their good looks, don't they?
