I was told by an old timer detectorist that if you think you will find it, you will.

So I tried what he said and thought I would find gold. And did. That very day not more than an hour later. It was a small ring but it was gold with a small diamond.

I'll never forget the feeling I got finding my first gold.

And I'll never forget that little tip.

It works more often than not.

I have a friend that in 25 years+ has found more golden treasure than anyone I know.

He hits the water and lets the hunting gods direct his search instead of working a grid or following any rigid plan.
