One Block Easement Hunt

I hunted a block of easements. I found 4 wheat

The wheat's were a 1944s, 1956d, 1952d and a 1946s.

I miss easement hunting. The older towns in WV. were built like the old towns in the wild west. The buildings were build up next to the street, even the houses. If there is a small easement, after the street is plowed, There is a build up of dirt over the years and it looks like a hump with a ton of trash in it.

Nice totals you got. It's amazing how much loot is sitting on those.

And.........don't you wish people would pick up there pets doo doo

Yeah some years ago I walked and hunted the curb line ( a swath of about six feet or so ) of a very large park we have here that is over four blocks long ( we have a bigger one at 5500 acres ) and I picked up between 300-400 coins.dropped by folks getting in and out of their cars and fishing for their keys as they walked up to their cars. Found quite a few car and house keys in the total.

Yeah I haven't hunted parkways in awhile so need to get back to it. I see guys around here covering whole neighborhoods I still hunt curb lines. I once hunted one next to sports fields and a tennis court at a ritzy school across town. It was about 100 yards long. As I recall I picked up about twelve bucks and a ring or two. But that was years ago when pickings were really good. At that same school I hunted a tree-covered knoll in front of the auditorium for several hours and picked up $13.00, two 14 KT gold rings, two bracelets ( one solid silver ) and a bracelet watch, and some other trinkets. I used to have several spots like that that no one else knew about. Now everybody and their dogs know about them. Used to hunt a little school stuck way back in the suburbs and always picked up five to seven dollars in the playground. Now I'm lucky if I find a quarter there. Just ain't like it used to be. :)

I usualy make out best hunting those "not so obvious" spots that other TH'ers look at and think nothing is there. I hunted one a few weeks ago at this park/school I hunt often. It's just a patch of grass about 40' x 40' but the last time I hit it I pulled about $4.50 out of it including a five quarter spill. I wrote an article about that type of hunting some years back. I may post it..Keep after those parkways, they pay off.
