Went in the over growth in the park and found the six wheat's and old Canadian together.I don't usually find this many wheat's in one spot.

Great finds Ron, My name is Mike from upper Michigan.

Ron, coin hunting has been pretty good. The grass is to long to hunt most of my spots. Found lots of native copper and silver half breeds. Sold some copper and silver back in April and got $700 for it. Got about $400 in copper/silver yet to sell. I haven't dug to many coins in the last week, between the rain and work there's been no time. I plan on hitting the beaches soon maybe on my long weekend. HAPPY HUNTING :) Mike

The big spill in that park I missed.A hunter found an old rotted coin purse with about a dozen coins none later than the late 1800s which included a 3 cent piece.

Wow, that would of been a good find for you. I think something better is waiting for you to find:)

I'm find a ratio of 20 wheat's to silver at this park.I have no doubt the silver is missed.I like the Sovereign but I have an old Explorer on the way going to see if this will find the missing silver.

I know what will help you find that silver-------------------------me and my GTI2500:)

Da Yooper, The GTI2500 is a nice metal detector. My deceased Father In Law use to have a cabin near Iron Mountain. You would have been proud of him he had a red flannel hunting clothes hat included.

That was and still is great hunting clothes. Deer season can get pretty cold and those old flannels and wool would keep you warm. You have to be a Yooper to wear them now. The hat was probably a krommer and still very popular today.
