An old friend of mine hit a dove with the top half of his Harley windshield at 70MPH while crossing a long lonely stretch of Arizona. He said that the red lower part was all that was left and it happened so fast that he hardly knew what did happen until he saw all those feathers!! He swore he would never ride that fast again and shuddered to think of what might have happened if he had hit the bird a week earlier on that same stretch of road when he was cruising at about a hundred for ten miles or so!!
