on land how deep can the Infinium hit on coins

just wondering , can it get dimes at 14" deep

I would say it is possible.
Using the 10 x 14 mono My Inf wil detect an Aussie 5 cent coin at 10 inches easily in the ground and the signal can still be heard at 14 inches but is weak and could be easily missed if you were not on the ball. I have found 5 cent coins at better than 15 inches in wet sand. I think our 5 cent is a copper nickle alloy. It is 20mm in diam
I have an American one cent that will air test at 11 inches and detect at 13 inches in the same ground that I tested the 5 cent.
This coin seems to be made of some other metal with copper cladding and produces an odd warbling Hi/LO tone

if it get a copper nickle 20 mm coin at 10 with ease thats good considering anything with nickle is hard to hit and a penny at 13 is really good i was considering a AT pro but I just do not think 15khz can get that deep but a pulse would thanks for the Info .

I do not know much about the AT Pro but I have heard that it is capable of good depth in quiet ground. I believe that the GB of this detector can balance out salt so it should get good depth at the beach.

Today with the infinium and the 10 x 14 mono I recovered an Aussie 10 cent coin at near as dam it to 18 inches in damp beach sand above the high tide line. This coin is 25mm diam and approx 2mm thick. It may even have been deeper than 18 inches and closer to 20 but it is difficult to gauge depth in sand. I had to pinpoint the coin with the tip of the coil and the coil was well and truely passed its full length into the hole in the sand by a good 6 inches

while hunting in the red dirt of Virginia, I hit on a button back (cuff size) at 13 inches so it should hit well on a dime at the same depth or deeper.

the one i got did not go very deep very disapointed, back to the trusty GT

14" on pull tabs no problem.Stock coil.Deep is all I can say-deepest machine I have ever used/owned.Tricky in trashy areas and alot of learning time-that I still need.
