If you use this coil would like your feedback. Considering getting one with Whites certificate. We have just moderate mineralized soil here. This is the 6 by 10. Thanks for any info.

Will handle your soil fine but the 6 X 9 really
works good in the trash for a full size coil.

John, the 10x6 DD has several advantages over the stock 950 concentric. One, as you obviously realize, is that the DD handles highly mineralized ground better then the 950. From your comments, that is of no advantage to you. However, the DD DOES reject iron MUCH better then the 950, and, at trashy sites, the DD also isolates targets much better then the 950. At highly iron-trashy sites, the 10x6 greatly outperfroms the 950. Personally, I have sold my 950, and use the 10x6 80% of the time, and the 6x4 DD 20%. Hope this helps; HH Jim

... is that the DD coils are sensitive down a very narrow band in the middle, that band running from tip to tip. Thus, the "window" of sensitivity is very narrow. Hence, you have to swing the coil somewhat SLOWER to get the full advantage of the DD coil. No problem, there, really, inasmuch as SLOWER is often MORE PRODUCTIVE. Also, with the DD coil you do not have to overlap your swings nearly as much, thus you can actually cover more ground per hour, even when going slower. Congrats on the gift certificate, I've gotten a few myself. Hope you do well with the new coil; HH Jim

It's late, I've spent several hours printing up more "Advanced Nuggetshooting" books, and the few remaining grey cells I have are rebelling. G'night!

Like Jim says the 10X6 is also my wifes main coil when not on the 4X6 goes on as we find these seem to get the coins others have missed. Depth is very good on either one.
