well im headed upto my father in laws where i found my first barber dime about a month ago . this was an old horse race track that closed int he late 1920's. i hope that i can find the mother load. Im sure if they raced horses they may have used gold to purchase horses or bet on them. This could be my best shot to find that gold in this virgin site. I will keep everyone posted i am stoked to get out and swing the magic stick.

Pro,

I would check to see if the area was included on the old Sanborn fire insurance maps. Or perhaps you can pose the question on the Mapping Forum on FMall and see if their were other historic maps that may show the racetrack layout. Of course, without giving clues to your location. Yes, there are still claim jumpers these days. Best of luck.

i found out through hours of research that the track and a park were opened in 1871 the good thing is half the track is on my father in laws property where i found the coin the other is a n old powder clip that is no longer in use.
