Hit a High School soccer field today and found this awesome

Hmmmm? I guess an image would be appropriate.

and say goodbuy to your findger if it catches somthing, you could pull a plow with it teaser for you no gold maybe its the hard times not as much gold

Congrats on the ring..even putting a diamond or a 18k stripe on them,It's like putting lipstick on a pig.....They are what they are!! HH GL

I should be more appreciative I suppose. After all I did get the thrill of a potentially really nice find for a few seconds.:hot:

I usually don't post the total of my finds for a hunt but for no particular reason pictured are the total diggings for my 2-1/2 hours of effort on the soccer field.

Gunner your comment about getting a ring hung up struck close to home. Years ago I was "catch man" on a hay wagon and when I hopped down to take a break my ring got caught up on a nail head in the railing burying the ring to the bone. Needless to say I don't wear rings any more.

I feel ya,,, they say a ring is a ring but when I found mine,,similar to yours, I couldn't believe how heavy it was.. lol ifigured man if its gold !!!!! but got it home cleaned up an seen tungsten......... but it is nice lookin ring and I believe the hardest thing next to diamond.. I don't think you can even resize em theyre to hard once made. but I was still glad to add it to the collection . still better than another pulltab. HH

Good point Johno. In fact the ring in question is a good example of one of the reasons I love detecting.

The anticipation! You never know for sure, but fortunately there's always another iffy target to be dug. And it could be the ONE!

Two things,
1. a jeweler probably sold it for over $300.00
2. you can throw it on the street or a concrete wall to shatter it.!!! LOL I think that is more fun!!! at least you helped clean up some trash for the planet.
