Just a short hunt today , I dont usually like to drive this far ,but I have been hunting
this one site for a year and it always produces. Today I am so glad I took the drive. Found
the 2 coins in the first 30 min in the doziers tracks. My very first IH (1867), she's ugly, but I love her !
And a 1910 Barber Dime. Dug mainly iron and lamp parts after that, I really like the old monkey
wrench too, I dont find many tools. Thanks for looking

haha!!! that's great, echostar. congratulations. they are good lookin' pieces too! the '67 ih don't look that bad. it looks a whole sight better than the '64 i found today. it's just awful. is there a mint mark on the back of your dime? is the buckle brass or iron? i see some old oil lamp parts there too. i'm just full of questions today! anyway, nice finds. sometimes the drive is worth it. thanks, and hh,

wicked,is there a mint mark on the barber by chance?ya that handle on the wrench is something i've never seen one like that! nice hunt!

Thanks All, There is a mint mark on the dime, its a D. And the buckle is iron ,
The smaller lamp thingy says E. Miller Meriden CT pat. May 2,1854 ( I think ).
Very little modern trash , I saved this site just for me , for when I really want to
get away . I usually point hunt this site , but found none today, the field was soupy ,
but I'll be back until new construction begins .

Wow, That's a nice hunt. Just wish I could find coins like that.

I just love that monkey wrench.

That is a really neat one.

I would love to hang that in my shop.

HH,

Way to go kid!!!:) I love seeing coins like that pop out of the ground. Barbers and Indians - never get tired of seeing them. They look pretty good too. I found an Indian the other day and I could barely make out the date. Yours looks like it will clean up. Congrats:beers: Now get out there and find some more!!!

Thanks Coinnut , Actually I did clean it already. Im afraid thats as good as it gets .
The fertilizers in the farm ground arent too kind on copper .

Terri

Terri,
Nice finds. How do you clean up an IH? I found an 1882 last week and would welcome any suggestions.

Thanks,
Lambo

Hi Lambo1, I really do not do anything special, I heat some peroxide in the
microwave about 45 sec. drop in coin and let it bubble. I think Coinnut could
help you more on the cleaning process. Congrats on your find :clapping:
