I live in Jackson not far from the airport.

Do you belong to that metal detecting club in Memphis?
I'd love to join one but Memphis is the closest one from here and I just can't drive that far to the meetings.

I just left Memphis after fueling and taking on supplies and water heading south bound on the Mississippi river. Small world man! Hey RounderRick,,,your in for some fun! HH!

Ohhhh man you on the river boat wish I was with ya.
I got on one it's been years ago (will be 20 years this July I remember I was on the boat when Michael Langdon died in 1991 man how time flys) I really liked it only thing the place I worked for I had to drive to Paducah and would get shuttled to catch the boat after a few days someone that had been off duty would be coming back and I get booted have to drive back home, a day or 2 later we got another boat you can get on then the same thing got booted did that a few times and said to heck with this and never went back.
I did get to go up at night a time or to and sit with the pilot and watched the radar and all that other stuff it was neat something I'll always remember I'd try it again but getting to old to start that now, lol

Hi there Friend,
My congratulations - you will be happy with this one!
Like you

Thanks Thanos I'm sure I'll really love it I'm excited like a kid in a candy store about it. lol
Just checked awhile ago and it's in Memphis so only 80 miles away so yep it will be here tomarrow and yes the snow did make it already so guess I'll be air testing everything in the house.

Hey Ricky, here ya go bud! The RADAR pic show us north bound between the I-55 and I-40 bridges in Memphis. The others shot is from the back of my wheelhouse looking forward, similar to what you would have seen years ago when sitting on the satee looking forward. The starboard spot light is shining on the head of our tow 1070 feet away from where I am sitting at. We are 1197 feet long over all. Hope that brings back some good memories.

Thanks Capt, yeah what little chance I got to be out there was some good memories for sure just wish it hadn't turned out the way it did and I had stuck with it I'm sure one day I would have built up enough seniority to not get bumped so much.
As they say if I could go back and know what I know now but it don't work that way and at age 51 a little to late to start now. lol
