Omega 8000 on the way

I finaly broke down and ordered the Omega 8000 with all 3 coils. Hopefully I will be posting some finds one of these days.

I have to say, I love my Omega!
Not because of all the silver i find but, because i am confident, if it is under my coil it will pick it up.
I to have the 3 coil pack and have been using the 11 inch coil the most and the only reason for that is because i wont to cover as much ground as possible.
I dig things up so small that i have trouble finding them with my Garrett pin pointer after its out of the hole.

The only thing that limits this detector is the places i have to hunt.

I wish there were more you tube videos of hunts like there are with the E-Trac

Cant wait for that Indiana corn to be picked so i cant get back out to some of my favorite fields.

Good luck with your awesome machine and cant wait for those pics

you are getting a great machine. dont be afraid to swap around your coils for the different areas you hunt. listen to the audio, and use the different tone option until you find the one that suits you best. hh

Great machine, but so far I almost always prefer the 5 inch coil. Check out each, but really look closely at going small.

Thanks for all the tips. It should be here today!

Great machine, you can't go wrong. Also performs well on the beach which I found out yesterday .

Cheers

Bob, I believe you will really enjoy the Omega. For coin hunting, I find it to be a pure delight and it is not bad on relics, either. Each of the three coils have their place and I personally use all three. Good luck! HH jim tn

I am taking it out for the first time on my lunch hour. I slapped on the 5in. coil to see what it will do with a trashy site.

Thanks again everyone.

So how did it go? Inquiring minds want to know! Also, to find out how you evaluated the experience.
Frustrated or elated by options? Felt it went well or not?
We put the bar pretty high...

Hi Pastor Tom,

Well I took out the Omega the last 2 days at lunch. So far I like it. I did find a little change and a silver ring, ok I think it is silver have to see how it cleans up. I have just been trying the different coil and settings. I have a MXT Pro that I have had since Nov. and they are very different. My plan is to use the Omega more for coin shooting and I might let my Grandson use it. First time I took him detecting he buried my pinpointer in the snow and wanted me to try and find it!!!!!! I did take him this last weekend and he did much better so we will see. It will take awhile but I am sure the Omega will be awesome.
