omega 8000 arrives

Got my omega today about 530 pm. Tried out back in my test area and hit a quarter real well at 6-7 inches through solid thick red georgia clay. my xterra 50 couldn't do this and my xterra 70 can't either though it can get a number one out of every 5 sweeps. Did some air testing also and a nickel seems to pick up better at half sensitivity or at least just as good as the max sens. Overall I am pleased and can't wait to try out in the morning, while it's still cool. Craig

Good luck, you made the right choice, don"t be afraid to run the gain high that is the 2 blue blocks on the sense button. HH:detecting:

I'm dealing with the Georgia clay myself, but i find in most cases I can run the Omega Hot most everywhere i hunt, If i have a lot of falsing more often than not due to a radio tower or power lines, changing freq works. So crank that baby and up get some deep goodies. As long as you don't mind the chatter when you set it down to dig those goodies.

If you would, just mention in your reporting the coil you have mounted and the settings used, as well as your area's Ground Phase Number.
