Oldest Find Yet!!!

Here is a photo of my oldest find yet, an 1869 Shield Nickel. It's not in good shape but at least you can read the writing and symbols. I found it in a turn of the century (19th century) park.

Very cool, that is almost 30 years older than my oldest find.

Don't be discouraged by the condition. Nickels don't come out looking very good. Be glad that you can still read the full date and see most of the details. Congrats again. HH Randy

Congratulations on your personal best

That's beautiful. Great find. I know you found it in a park but in what part of the country? Just curious.

Regards, Tuco

Lots of changes have taken place since that coin was dropped, huh? Real good discovery.
