Steve,I have a Goldmaster V- Sat. I have found no gold with it, but have found plenty of birdshot. Apperently I haven't got it over any gold yet. Do you think it is as capable as the newer detectors ? Hendoendo

Hello Hendoendo,

Actually, yes I do. Kind of surprising in a way but reality is not much has changed since the day of the V-SAT. It is a perfectly capable VLF detector and the fact you are finding birdshot proves it. Believe me, I dig it by the pound as you must if you want the gold. The trick of course is to find a place with more gold and less birdshot!

A GM 3 was my first detector and I still use it for my fine gold machine.
I took a year and driving 300 miles before I found my first nugget, dont give up it will come sooner or later.
Hopefully sooner!
Good Luck

Thanks guys, I figured that was the case, i guess i will have to clean some trash out first. Thanks again. Hendoendo

Back in the 80s I loved my ol'school Whites Series 3 6000 Di Pro as a all around good unit. But spoiled by Tesoro LST and my GB2 series now. Goldmasters not so much ever. John
