Old WWII Photo Album.,,CG Horse Stable 1st. Group

I collect U.S. Coast Guard items, Uniforms, Lanterns, hats, whatever. In doing so, I purchased this old WWII photo Album a few years ago. It is a Stable along the ocean, belonging to the Coast Guard. The CG patrolled beaches on the West Coast and the East Coast, looking for possible saboteurs. This Coast Guardsman seems to enjoy his duties.

That would have been the idea way to serve your country, riding horses!

When I served in the Marines, my last duty station was at Havelock, North Carolina. I had nine months left, so they sent me there to serve with the PMO, pulling duty with the military police. I had lots of free time and missed my horses back home, so I bought a Tennessee Walker and spent many hours riding the pine forest trails in the area. Somewhere around here, I have some pictures of the horse, and will post them if I can find them. Kelley (Texas) :)
