Old Wheatie

Hello all,

I went out to my father-in-law's old farm today. I didn't have time to really hunt, but I found a 1918-S Wheat penny. It is not worn, but of course very dirty. What is the best way to clean our old coins without diminishing the value? Any suggestions?

Just think..it's 89 years old. Some say never clean a coin unless you know for certain it's not valuable.

I've took just enough peroxide to cover the penny up. Heat up until it's hot then add the penny.
Then use soap. Just what I do. Don't know if it's right or not.
