Old vs/ New (Tesoro Toltec100 vs Minelab X-terra30/50)

Thinking about getting into detecting again after an absence of about 8 years. Looking to buy my wife and I new detectors and was looking into the X-terra line.
I have many questions, but this will be the first......

I have an older '97 Tesoro Toltec100 and was wondering how it compares overall to say, an Ex-Terra 30 or 50?
I just want to know if the Toltec can hold it's own against todays modern detectors :)

This is just my opinion/ Keep the grand Old Tesoro for a back up......(Decent Machine)..and buy the xterra 50's...
Or buy wife/You a 50, and the other an Xterra 70....That way you have one beach capable machine, and a prospector unit built in..(70) The Tesoro will do fairly well on prospecting sites too.
