Old vintage pickup truck...........

It probably went fishing. When those old motors seized up, they used them for anchors.....nge

Either that or some one used it for a resotration on another truck a long time ago judging by the trucks present condition. A lot of those older trucks get turned nto hot rods if they aren't too far gone. Nowadays however, it is sometimes cheaper just to buy a remake of an old car or pickup if you want to restore it. The remakes aren't always made out of steel like the originals tho.
