Old v new

Two of the same picture, one taken using a modern prime lens and the other an equivalent early 70's lens. Both were set to the same aperture and all other settings the same.Take a guess, which is the new lens?
One of these lenses(the new lens)cost £109,while the other can be picked up for around £30......it's a no brainer really if you don't mind the manual operation of the older lenses.

I have found that many of my old vintage lenses will produce much better pictures than my modern lenses, vintage lenses usually purchased at well under $100 on eBay and Craig's List. Many folks buying the newer, smaller morrorless cameras are buying adapters and then buying these lenses which is driving the prices upwards and etc. Kelley (Texas) :)

The second photo is my guess also.
