well, not often, but they are neat finds. Found a 1905 V nickel a couple of days back, on a local salt water beach. This one was in quite good shape;several others found over the years were usually impossible to date. I have also added some Buffalo nickels and 2 or 3 Shields to my iffy collection. All on beaches, all in grim condition.

I'm a lazy clad hunter and just don't care to dig deep enough in the dirt to find the GOOD stuff !

Have yet to find any US halves or dollars of any year. I'm always pleased though to find a coin from any country over the 100 year threshold. I'll try to post a few pics this fall/winter. HH all !
