[size=large]Hay Folks,

Went to an old area that I can drive right up to. And nobody
knows about it.

I have hunted this area several times using mostly a 5.75

Great day Tabdog. Those are some neat old relics. I am not sure if the hollow ball is a finial off of something or the ball handle off a trailer hitch. How big is it?

[size=medium]I found tha patent on tha trunk lock.

Here's tha drawing.

Hay Tseeker,

It is about 1 5/8" in diameter.

Tha base appears to have been

braised to something in tha past.

Tha copper ball is very thin. Tha

brass base is much thicker.

It seems ornamental in nature.

It has a few small dents in it.

I could easily crush it with one

blow of a hammer.

HH,

Tabdog

It almost looks like it fits the iron disk like thing in the fifth picture although it seems odd to put iron with brass like that. I have seen a few all brass ones but who knows.

The copperball thing could be from the end of an old curtain rod...
