Old Trojan Kids Ring And Silver Thimble

Well-known member
A detecting buddy and I made it out Sunday to a few fairly close parks. Not too much for old coins but I got a neat old Trojan kids ring and a silver thimble.
That enameled bird pin was deep and must be pretty old. The micro car was surprisingly deep and read just like an Indian head which is what I thought I would be seeing from that hole.
The silver dime was my 290th silver coin for the year.
There was some snow and the ground was hard in most places so we were lucky to get what we got. Temps were in the mid 30s.

Like that silver thimble and the other keepers!
I've yet to find one one of those silver thimbles. That one you dug up is in good condition too!

Congrats on the great finds and on finding that many Silver coins in one season !

Congratulations on all that silver. You really put in some swing time. That thimble is awesome. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks all for the nice complimentary posts! It is enjoyable when a person finds a variety of a few different items even when the ground makes your hand ache. :stars:
I have dug dozens of thimbles over the years and they were always smashed and dented. This silver one was a little thicker and wasn't dented at all.
I brass brushed it and it cleaned up nice..
