I was up in my parents barn the other day and found some old detector adds, magazines, info books etc. it was just like finding treasure. These books date back to the mid 70's when my brother first got into metal detecting. I found a old Roy Lagal " Detector how to test field guide" from 1973 a Charles Garrett's "treasure hunting secrets" from 1976 a "Treasure hunters Digets by Jack Lewis mid 70's. my brothers original owners manual for his Compass Yukon 94-IB that still graces our presence today and works as it did the day it was purchsed. Also a bunch of old "Treasure" "Treasure Search" and Treasure Found" mags. I already found some good reading on local tresure areas. There are also a bunch of old metal detector add pamphlets from "Whites" "Garrett" "Bounty Hunter" and "Compass". It is just cool to look back at the big hulcky machines from the days back when I was first introduced to metal detecting.
