Old token with swastica on back and cross on front,THE YOUNGSTOWN SHEET &TUBE CO. YOUNGSTOWN,O. ore to wire buckeye fence.

This was most likely issued prior to 1920. At this time, the swastika was meant to be a sign of good luck and prosperity. It wasn't until Hitler used it as a symbol of the Nazi party that it took on a negative connotation. As to the value or occasion for the coins issue, I have no idea.

Just thought this may give a idea of the age of your find.-

Several thousand years old. I think it came from India but Google or Wiki would answer that.

Nasty that a bunch of brutes hijacked it for their use and they where not about good luck or prosperity.

Ore to wire.......pretty self explanitory. Barbred wire was a boom to all cattle ranchers(except the free rangers) causing the infamous range wars that ended in the later 1800's.
My estimate is it's been 120+ years since minted and a definate lifetime find related to the old west when cattle were king and all cowboys wore side arms to defend their boss' land.

if you check the arms on the swastika are facing backward to the nazi party emblem the way the arms are is for good luck. reverse the arms it becomes a swastika

i found one similar to this it was a jv boy scout shoe token with swastika on back good find ! im proud of mine

Prior to 1923 it was the Youngstown IRON sheet and tube co. so the token is post 1923. I have found two listings for this token online but no pics or prices.
I live just south of Youngstown.
Where did you find it?
