Old Time Religion!

Been not finding much the past month because I have done much hunting. To darn hot and wicked humid up he in Mass. Found my first shield nickel a few weeks back. Really bad condition. The date seems to be 1883. Hope soaking in olive oil for a while will make it a little more readable. Found the two medallions during todays hunt, They both were between 3 and 4 inches deep. Bouncing around 26 to 36. Had the stock coil on tracking mode and sens at 27(in the woods I keep it rather high). The oval medallion is mark 1830 on the bottom. Pretty neat! HH ALL
