I can give you a better image and info this time in hopes that some one can tell me something about this thing! It is 2 inches wide and weighs 48.68 grams it sets in a blue hard plastic case with a blue velvet type material in it. The case has the word SAMAR written on it. The metal itself has KOUROSH GOLD CUP JUNE 1971 TEHRAN written on it and no writing on the back. I have looked everywhere on the Internet that i know to look and have found nothing. Thanks for any help you can give!
 
I go along with Boomer1, according to wikipedia Kourosh is another name for cyrus
