Old Silver Today!

New member
I've been under the weather the last few days and I had to get out of the house to get some fresh air..
I was out 3 hours or so at another site I Found going through the books....I only had one unknown penny
and a Pin of some sort in my finds pouch after the first three hours and was about to call it a day when I
managed to add a Barber quarter a worn seated dime and a very bad early date wheatback........

Nice finds Duggr....my one and only seated is an 1891 dime too. I got out today, but didn't have any luck finding silver. Did get an IH though...so it wasn't a total loss.

Quarter is a beauty, never found one that nice!

I'm finding that when I research and find an old place that had a fair amount of activity during
the Barber coin era that I find really Nice ones!

I had that hunt a few days ago! I usually start finding the coins after three hours into the hunt....Or about the time i'm thinking about calling it a day....

Holy hell.. maybe you should teach me how to research. Every time I find a place that should be a good site I just end up with junk lol

Believe me I dug the trash as well...When you in and old place you have to dig the unknowns to make sure you don't miss the possibility of a gold coin..

I hit a 1871 house site that was bulldozed in the 90s. The place was littered with aluminum sideing. The next site was a 1910 house site and the beer cans and bottle caps killed me. I tried the ttf and it was acting insane. I just think I find sites that could be awesome and end up being over ran by modern junk.

Been there and done that....I'm going to slip out today if the wife has no problem with it....LOL

Thanks Everyone!
Went out today for around three hours at the very same place and picked up these two nice barber dimes...That 1916 looks Great!

I see I didn't do a very good job at cleaning out those old sites when I use to live down there, lol Nice Barbers, WTG

You can't get it all....Better get that Etrac warmed up and ready!
