Old Scout Camp Still Producing

My brother and I went back to the old scout camp on Sunday. The ground was perfect as we have two days of rain earlier in the week. Easy digging and we found a lot more coins down six to seven inches. I used a CZ7A pro and he used a white whatever model.
We ended up with 35 coins in four hours. We had 7 wheats with the oldest being 1917 and three silver dimes, 1944 Mercury and 1952 & 1959 Roosevelt. It was almost like hunting virgin ground the way the damp soil gave up these coins. What a huge difference it made. Had my volume at 6 and sensitivity at 4.
Hope to get out one more time before taking a turkey hunting hiatus. Nice to see so many sucessful posts out there.

Indeed these old camps keep producing, mainly because usually were large had many visitors each year and camped out all over the area..Nice to have two hobbies or even 3 as it sort of breaks things up and prevents burnout..Yep wet ground is much easier digging and deeper coins can be had due to the conductivity enhanced by the existing ground conditions..

Ron, I would turn your sensitivity up to 6 if the machine is stable in that ground. I find that I get a few more inches with my CZ-70 and can hear the deeper coins better or the ones that I couldn't hear much before at all...HH
