I had to get my fix Sunday and went back to the old scout camp which I've have hit over and over. I keep waiting to come up empty handed and once that happens twice in a row, I'll figure it is played out but it hasn't happened yet. The ground is really ideal for digging since we have had so much rain.
First coin was a 1915 D penny followed up with a 1945 wheat, then two modern coins. Fifth and final coin was worn 1934 quarter. Left the camp and walked to where an old house had stood and where the bulldozers have scraped the ground. Pulled up a silver ring. Third piece of silver jewelry I've pulled up over the past two weekends.
Old camp has given up 286 coins of which 22 have been silver and 1 buff. It is just amazing how hard we have hit this place yet it keeps giving up quality coins. Old home nearby have given up about 10 more coins, oldest being a 1924 penny and the silver ring. Great time to be outside.
