Old safe dial

Found an old safe door that had been thrown out by the trash. The people had taken the door off and really ruined an old safe that I'm sure would of gotten some good money from a collector, instead they sold it for scrap except for the door that I picked up. I went ahead and removed the brass dial that I will keep, it is an old relic, here are a couple of pics. The patent ranges from 1857 to 1871. I asked the lady why they had thrown away the door and she said that it had concrete on the inside and the scrapyard wouldn't take it, unbelievable, destroyed a good safe. Anyway, I was able to remove the concrete with no problem but they had destroyed the hinges or I would of kept the door. I believe the dial says Sargent and Greenleaf, Rochester, NY. HH John

Hi, I am new to this forum, I have a question, I have a big, heavy safe problly almost 3 by 4 feet with a dial like the one posted above on it, patents from 1860 to 71 on the dial, does anyone know what to do with a safe like this or where to try and sell it?
