old road bed

Have a friend that keeps telling me about an old road bed they used during the civil war. he said he found a button laying on top of the ground just a couple weeks ago. I think the grandson and I are going to explore it in a couple weeks . I hope he finds some relices he is only 11 years old and wants to find some bullets and I havent been able to find him anywhere to hunt. Hopefully this will pan out for us.

of the road bed. if it crosses a creek or low wet area both sides of the creek & wet area 4- 5 yards out and right on the edge of the bank.

huntcav65 is exaclty right. Where that road bed crosses any form of water source is where i'd be. Let us know what you find. CCH
