Old park keeps producing:detecting:

I couldn't resist going back for a third visit to my old park Sunday. Five more IHs: 1887, 2-1893, 2-1902 & twelve more wheats, and a dateless Buffalo.
Also found a few more artifacts.
At this point I'm digging mostly deep targets. After I've covered the park I'll go back again in different directions and with a smaller coil. This is a fairly small park
about equivelent to the size of 1/2 a city block. I know it's been hit for years but its amazing the amount of deep smalls.
So far: one barber quarter, one barber dime, one merc, 13 IHs, 30 wheats (most from the teens - 30's), one Brit farthing, one Buffalo.
Bryce, you'd love this park. Another thing you'd appreciate - my dad used to play in this park as a kid ( he passed in 11/09). He was born in 1918 and yesterday
out of the 12 wheats I found THREE of them were dated 1918 !

Yeah, that would be great! About 30 years ago I found an 1899 barber quarter about six feet from where I found the one on Friday. I had kidded my Dad
about how many times he had probably stepped on the spot when he was a kid not knowing what was under his foot.

Great story, Thanks for posting and adding the PICS.

That hits close to home Bruce:angel:
Nice finds my friend...but especially the 1918's:thumbup:

Cool finds Bruce.:clapping: I bet that old farm still has some more neat stuff to dig up and best of luck when you go back. You are going back right. HH.

You bet Eddie! I've only initially covered about 2/3 of the park. I'm going to finish a basic sweep of the park, then go over it again more slowly and with a smaller coil. It will be a "go to" place between new sites.
