Old park given up the goods

I made my way to an old park here in central Illinois Friday morning. This is the second week in a row when I got there They had something going on, this week a carnival, last week a car show. Started heading down the side walk out in front of the ampi theater got a nice signal near a younger tree and out from under a root poops a beautiful 1914 D barber dime. Made my way closer to the entrance next to an even younger tree I pulled 1896 IH less than one inch as a matter of fact pinpointed it with the X-1 probe. found a bunch of clad and some junk but i don't dig to much junk anymore. Smoked a cig and headed towards a huge tree and found a 1941 merc a little worn but not to real bad. Here's the pic of the barber, a little blurry. This coin shines like it's new pics do it no justice. I spent about 4 hours there. One more tid bit, I looked up for a second and noticed an animal coming out of the carnival area and bouncing through the park was a red fox. Now this park is in town.

Thats a beautiful coin! :clapping: I hoping to get out this evening to my old park, Im just waiting on my mother in law to get over and watch the kids. Only 3 hours of daylight left.
Congrats!

Aaron

very nice!

Selling it would have been a big mistake. I would have just had to turn around and retool. There are a lot of great machines out there but for some reason I really love this XS. Not to pull my own chain but the more I use it the better I think I'm getting. Thanks Mark for selling me this machine.
