Hey folks,
I hate to bother you on your chat board, but I didn't know where else to post for help. My husband lost his platinum wedding band between beach access points 322 & 222 about 30 yards out at afternoon tide at Kure Beach, NC on Friday, 9/10/10. A real nice man & his wife who were metal detecting there, did some beach & under water detecting for us, but have had no luck yet & told us to post online to see if anyone else in the area could be on the lookout. Where is a good place for me to properly post this request for help (and offer of a reward, of course) so I don't have to bother you folks again?
Thank you once again & sorry for the interruption,
jkb

Maybe contact the nearest metal detecting club, may be listed on the web, or maybe a detector store may know, would not advertise the loss, will get anyone looking for it.. good luck.

ps no bother, many club members are retired so a club may be a good start ... also the law inforcement often has leads on metal detecting clubs, in Vancouver I have been called out many times, mainly looking for murder weapons, like bullets.

Thank you so much!! I will take your advice; I really wasn't sure how to approach this, but wanted to do something. How cool you have helped the police with investigations. I never would have thought of that- wow!!!
Thank you again!!
