Old, new and "Oz"

I went to an old friend's house. When you move back into an area after 16 years everybody is an OLD FRIEND. I have to remake friendships all over again. It wasn't his house that he lived in, it was his office. It was an old house. A very big old house in town. I didn't have my camera for taking pictures, but that will be the next time. I can't MD a big yard in one day so I will have to return. This is what I found today. The whole mess.

The cleaned up total. I know the lead soldier is old, it says made in U.S.A. I think the thing in top center is a brass ring from a harness?

I found this thimble that hit on pull tab.

I think some Aussie got lost. This was my odd find. Not that the coin came from oz. The soil was good to me, only a few hot rocks. It was one I could have missed. The sniper detected it 6" down. My silver for the day. That "D" looked familiar, so I looked it up. Yep, made in Denver.

A 1942 wheat. Don't they look good together?

Great finds today John. Nice coins.

Nice little haul old bud. That little Sniper is a real surpriser ain't it? I've nailed coins at seven inches with that little beast, far past the rule of thumb for coils that diameter equals depth.

Nice finds John,
I especially like the Ozzie thruppence, funny I expected it to be an octagonal shape coin but still nice though.
Well dug m8.

Very small coin the three pence, I also had no problem picking up mine on an old goldfield a few weeks back, the sound was loud and clear on my X-T70. I also have the Ace 250 and think its a great little machine. Nice finds mate.
Cheers!

Our soil is very mineralized here. I was amazed the Ace went 6" deep with the sniper. I am amazed it picked up that small coin. It wouldn't pick it up on every swing. When it did it was a good signal. The pp picked it up faintly. I could have walked past that target.
I am amazed I found an Australian coin. We aren't exactly a big tourist destination. I have met a few Aussies base jumping off the New River Bridge. I don't think they where carrying a 1943 three pence with them.

I always get a buzz when I find a threepence John. I've only ever found 2 or 3 of them myself. The one you found is 100% silver. To find a coin from overseas that is also silver, is a double bonus in my books.:clapping:
Congrats.
Mick Evans.
