Old Miner's Helmet piece

Here's an old little relic I found a couple of months ago at an old railroad station that intersected with the mines that existed around in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. An old neighbor of mine told me about the station, how you could pay a single nickel and go to anywhere you wanted.

I remember I had a blast digging there, nothing but jars and generic stuff until I stumbled upon this.

Very nice piece. You know that this was used to light the way years ago for the hard working miner that word this piece. I'm sure it would have some stories to tell if it could speak. Well Done.

Yeah, pretty crazy stuff. Imagine being trapped down in a mine with only a tiny little light you could use.
