Old key

REVIER

Well-known member
Only found one skeleton key so far, this is a smaller version that fits...something, but I have no clue what.
It appears to have a hole so it probably was meant to fit on a keychain.
Also found this keyhole cover plate, number two for me on these things, also.
Saving history...one old beat up rusty piece of metal at a time.

Looks like it got a bit cooked?...I'm calling that is the original from Ben Franklin's kite! Ebay that!

Good one there Revier, I bet you will find some gold this weekend!

I am still searching for one of those skeleton keys. I remember them from the first house that I remember living in. Neat Find.

Had a door in our house with a skeleton key. The key could get warped if the shaft was not tempered and or the lock mechanism was stubborn, CO

Thats a true 'bucket list' item REVIER...we all have to find at least one 'skelekin key' to punch that off it...like a crotal bell or something...great find!
