Old House Hunt - Just the Best Stuff

After my hunt yesterday, I went out last evening to secure a spot to hunt after church today. I managed to get a very old brick place in the country with a lot of large trees and huge lawn. All I detected was across the front of the house down to the road. The house also has 2 massive side yards and I might need a 17" coil to even make it possible. I forgot take a picture of a thin gold plated antique wedding band. The gold is almost complete except for a small spot on the outside of the band and a larger one on the inside. It shone so nice, I thought it was solid gold when I dug it.

Today's take was a Large Cent Trio, 1938 Washington Quarter and a 1943 D Mercury Dime, 18 Wheat pennies and tons of trash. No Indian Heads - believe it or not! I do have permission to go back.

Anyway, I hope everyone had a GREAT day and enjoy the pictures!

You have it good for the older coins out East Don, not a lot of LC's to be found around here. Illinois was just a pup in the mid 1800's. I have found two in thirty years and here you are popping them out of the ground three a day......... Nice trio. :clapping:

The CTX hits hard on the copper, even in the dry soil we currently have. Silver, on the other hand, needs more moisture I think. There's probably some deep older silver and Indian Head pennies I was missing.

Those large cents are sweet Duke , could be some real old silver there good luck on your next hunt. sube
