Old Homestead Finds In The Land Of OZ

Hombre

New member
Howdy Y'all................

I'm post'n pictures for the first time, hope it turns out OK. I'm from south central Ks. and these silver coins and relics have been dug this year at various old homestead sites. I run various Tesoro & White's machines, they are both great "brand names"and don't I prefer one over the other,I just pick two and off I go.More important than Machine choice, is location, location, location, just like real estate. I don't do much research. I just knock on the doors of the homes that appeal to me. HH............Hombre!!!

You continue to amaze. I hope I can get up the nerve to knock on doors so confidently. The results have certainly worth the effort for you.

Good Salesmanship Hombre!

It'll get you the gold!

Wow look at all that silver! Congrats on finding it for sure! I really like the USN pin. My son is in the Navy, and it made me think of him. You are doing very well, Beale.

Really nice display of impressive finds Hombre.

What's the flaired out thing in the upper Rt hand corner?

Is that an old car contact point on bottom, second from Lt.

Great hart locket.

Lots of links to the past.

I just love um.:inlove:

HH,

Man, you must be good at asking permission.

Howdy Guys:

Thanks for your interest in my first picture post. These trinkets and coins were found around old houses and abandoned old farmsteads. Some of the houses I searched were torn down long ago and are now just "celler holes". These kind of places are not hard to gain permission on, you just have to find the home owner and ask.

Questions & Answers : In response to authors : ( rmptr ) Yes.....It does take some salesmanship. ( Beal ) The Navy pin is a heart shaped picture locket, there was no pic inside, darn it! Congrats on your boy in the Navy, I'm sure he is doing a great job for our country. ( Tabdog ) The one item in the right side of " nut " picture is a smashed brass bell. the other item second from left at bottom that looks like contact point is an " accordian reed " these reeds are a common find around old house sites. ( pulltab ) I see that you are from Hutchison, I live on a farm south of Wichita ( markg ) I sent you a PM last night.........hope it helps. HH.............Hombre
