I hunted a place today for 4hrs, dug 26 coins, best I could do was a couple 40's/50's nickels. I worked real hard trying to land this place for a month. It's one of the older homes in town (1910), on the Historic Register, blah blah. Imaculate yard, sprinkler system, etc. Couldn't even scare up a wheatie. Had a lot of thunkers and I believe the old stuff is just out of reach? I wouldn't doubt that I lost 4-5" on the grass alone. Really had high hopes for this place but doubt I'll return.
I've done a few of these well manicured BEAUTIFUL older homes and so far it almost seems they don't produce for me as far as older coins? The junkier older stuff has been better FOR ME and the 50's stuff better yet. I think in the future I will avoid the fancier lawns type privates? Anyone else notice what I've mentioned above.....?????
bummed in Montana.........
