I've got a site that I have been pounding and although the signals are getting fewer, it's still giving up some great finds.
I got this nice "I" button and I guess digging all those shotgun shell cases finally paid off LOL!!
The backmark is hard to make out, but I can see "Superior Quality".
I also got a bullet that I could use some help on.
I first thought it was an enfield until I got home and after some cleaning, I noticed three small rings around it.
From the book I have it looks like it may be a .54 cal RF ( rifled musket ) round.
I measures 1" long x 17/32 in diameter and has a cavity in the bottom.
I have a bullet handbook by James E. Thomas and Dean S. Thomas and this bullet looks similar to the one on page #33.
Bullet # is 132 variation E.
Any other help is greatly appreciated if this in incorrect.. first one of these I have found.
Other finds include a harmonica reed plate, a shoe sole part, a couple of mystery items, and some lantern parts.
Thanks for looking,
Felix
