Old home site finds and need bullet ID help...

I got out to hunt a little before the snowstorm approaches tomorrow.
It is hard to believe the forcast is calling for 3 to 5 inches tomorrow when the temperatures today got up to around 60 degrees.
I had some luck and found a bullet that I am not familiar with and a couple of mystery items.
I believe the bullet is a .44 cal from the Watervliet Arsonal from the book I have.
The other items I am not sure about is the long brass piece and what looks like a copper rivet.
I have found many copper rivets before of different sizes, but this one looks like it is cast in one piece.. almost like a spool.
The other item I have seen before.. maybe I found one here before or seen one found by someone else, but have no idea what it could be part of.
Any help is greatly appreciated on the ID of these three items.
I also found part of a lamp that I believe held a candle. It had two straps going down to the bottom part which I found too although it was separated from the top part.. it was only about 7 inches high from my measurements.
I saved the top part, but didn't keep the lower part due to damage, but I may go back and get it to see if I can somehow repair it for display.
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Hello Felix. It looks like you had a pretty good hunt - it does indeed look like you dug up a watervliet pistol bullet, a thick brass belt stud, and what looks like a belt slider [adjuster] to a rifleman's buckle. Look around there some more - you've got a good start on a belt rig. The other bullet is a .52 dimple base sharps. Cool finds, keep on diggin' them up!

What metal detector where you using when you made those finds, and how deep were they? I think I can help you the bullet ID. Go to this web site and look up you bullet. Its a bullet ID site. Should help you.

Go this site it list almost all bullets used back then. http://www.baymediapro.com/collection/bulletsearch.htm

Should help you identify your bullet

Let me know what you find out.

Tom

Tom,
I was using a Tesoro Vaquero with the 5.75" concentric coil on this hunt. The items were not that deep, but can't say how deep since I was digging in some soft, muddy ground around an old home site.
I will check out the site you posted and let you know.. Someone responded to another post and stated that it did look like the bullet I ID'd in my book.
Thanks again,
Felix
