Old home pays off

Didn't get to go on a water hunt today. Maybe that was a good thing.

I was invited to hunt a friends old family home built in 1923. A total front landscape project is being done and the entire front yard has been disced and tilled getting ready for new lawn to be put in. After about 2 hours of hunting, this is what my take was. I noticed the barber and roosevelt dimes read lower than the mercs on my AT Pro. Does anyone know why ??

I hope the AT Pro impresses me as much in the water as it did on land.

Wow, that would be a dream outing for me. Congrats!

My yard was built in 1918, I'm tempted to rent a Bobcat just to dig it up... but also for the fun of destroying things with a Bobcat :)

Don't get me wrong.............IT WAS !!!

Theres just nothing like finding gold rings in the water for me.

My first water hunt was last week. I did well because I was in a good spot, but I could easily get used to water-hunting. Just the pinpointing that was driving me bonkers. Still on land, that was a dream find to be sure. :)

Great hunt!! All coins can be a few #'s difference due to many things. Sometimes even same year coins will ID differently.

You're right!! Once you scoop that first gold ring, everything else just doesn't give you a good enough rush anymore. Oh, it's fun and a few old coins are great to find...but they ain't nothin' like scoopin' GOLD!!
Congrats on that nice spread of oldies...now go scoop that GOLD!!!

WTG Lake Hunter, Your Like my Hero Now!!!!!!! Mickfin

Looks like a great hunt to me

The AT Pro seems to be doing very well water hunting, I can't wait to get mine in the lake up where my parents live. I hunted an old swimming hole a couple of years ago with a Minelab Sovereign, and I found two silver rings, a 14K gold earring, and a 14K girls ring, but I know that I missed a LOT of targets and my crummy $29 fleabay scoop couldn't dig through a lot of the areas, but my stainless steel diamond head will have no problems penetrating the rocky lake bed

The Merc reads differently because it is so beautiful. The Barber and Roosevelt are butt-ugly by comparison, so Garrett built in a special response for the Merc.
