Old Home, but Modern Finds...

So many of these old homes were on rises, and in the 20th century the land was leveled out with new soil. That would explain why a house built in 1795 would only produce Wheaties and a few other modern targets. I did get a silver war nickel; only my 3rd or 4th ever!

Sometimes you have to hunt the fringe areas maybe the back yard area or more away from the house would be nice to see a photo of the land and house

Wow, that looks like it would be the place to hunt but looks can be deceiving. Rob and I hunted a couple of properties that goes back to the mid 1800 last weekend. On one, the house was torn down and the other still had the old house and occupied........ they only yielded a few wheat cents. What a disappointment but nothing ventured..............

IT'S THE HUNT. The house and yard looked so good. ROB

The grass strips there has to be something still???
